The magnificent black curtains of the auditorium slowly draw open.
The lights dim and turn off as a single spotlight turns on. A lone figure in yoga pants and tap shoes stands still in the light, their head down.
The moment the music starts, the dancer’s head snaps up, and a smile grows on their face. The sound of taps on the hardwood fills the large auditorium as the show begins.
In the front row, however, disaster awaits. An audience member gnaws on a banana that they snuck into the show. When the last bite is eaten, they throw the banana peel.
It falls onto the stage.
As the tap dancer continues on with their show, they move across the stage, a smile on their face. One wrong step, however, sends their foot flying our from under them as they slip on the banana peel.
Their scream echoes in the rafters as they thud to the ground. The curtains close on this show.
